The Japanese Society for Vaccinology’s Takahashi Award was established by the Research Foundation for Microbial Diseases of Osaka University (BIKEN) to commemorate the worldwide utilization of the varicella vaccine developed by Dr. Michiaki Takahashi. Upon its establishment, the Takahashi Fund was donated to our organization by BIKEN.
The Japanese Society for Vaccinology’s Takahashi Award will be awarded to those making outstanding contributions academically or practically that are in line with the purposes of our organization.
Associate Professor Koji Kohiyama was selected for the 13th Takahashi Incentive Award.
Title of the awarded research: ‘Research on the development of novel vaccines by applying adjuvants’.
